Item details

Are all your items New or are some Reconditioned?
We don`t buy or sell any reconditioned tools. Everything is Brand New as stated.
All our adds are well detailed, just scroll the page down.

Where Can i Find Detailed Specifications for the item?
We spend a lot of time making product pages, every tool or item has detailed specifications in the product page, just scroll the page down, if you can`t find the answer there, then get in touch.

How do I find if my Current Battery will suit the new tool i`m looking at buying?
Scroll the page down and check the adds for the specifications of the tool. We`ve usually included the battery that suits the tool in the specifications. If your unsure just give us a call we are always here to help.

Do you make Special kits with Any tools i need or batteries etc?

Yes we certainly can make a customised combination for any brand with anything you need in it. 2 tools or 10, 2 batteries or 20. Whatever you need we`ll try to accommodate you.

Do you offer a Warranty with your products? How does that work?
Yes we offer a Warranty with the same conditions as the manufacturer, all our adds will have full details at the bottom of the page of what`s offered. If you have a problem you send the tool back to us and we`ll take care of it. The tool will be assessed and manufacturing faults will be repaired or the tool replaced at no cost to the buyer.

Do you know anything about tools? Can i Ask your Advice ? Will it be good advice ?
Yes we have a vast product knowledge, the owner of the business was a carpenter for over 20 years. So we know how tools work on the jobsite not just from the catalog description. We have a working knowledge of every tool we sell and we know exactly what tool is suited to what job. We know exactly what each tool can and can`t do. We have Great Advice.

Postage

Do you combine postage if I want to buy more than 1 item?
Yes we certainly do. We will always combine postage for people and try to pack and send most items together if possible.

How long until my Item is sent Out?
We have a daily dispatch Mon – Fri between 3.30 – 4.30pm. We don`t muck around here and all items are usually dispatched with in 24 hours of us receiving your payment. If there is a problem you would be notified immediately.

How do you Send items? Is it Secure?
We send items Via registered parcel post with Aust Post and Fastway Couriers. Items need to be signed for upon delivery and if no one is in attendance they will be taken back to the P.O. and you can pick them up from there with photo ID. If it’s a courier item then they can be contacted for a redelivery. All items have insurance as part of the cost added and all customers receive a tracking number. We think it`s very safe and secure.

How long will my Item Take to Arrive?
Well that all depends of your location and whether Aus post or the couriers are on the ball.
Melbourne customers will often receive parcels the following day. SA, NSW, TAS, ACT, 2-3 Days, WA, NT, QLD, 3-5 Days (METRO AREAS) All other locations and rural or outbacks locations can take 7-14 days. According to Aust Post and Fastway. They are very reliable with a 0.001% Fail rate

Do you Send out a tracking number with my parcel so i know where it is?
Yes we do. We send items via registered parcel post and fastway couriers and all orders have a tracking number saved to the order page, so customers can look on Aust Post or Fastways Website to see where it is if it`s late to arrive.

Have Australia post lost many of your packages? Or damaged any ?
Australia post is with out a doubt the best carrier in the Country. Over the last year we have sent over 5000 parcels with Australia post, they have lost a TOTAL OF 0, Yes 0. They also Didn`t damage anything. We had a couple late to arrive but they showed up. At then end of the day Australia post get the job done with a low fail rate.

Payment

How do i see your details for a bank transfer?
You must complete the checkout, during the checkout select the Method of payment as Bank Deposit. Contact us if your having trouble.

Do you take Master Card and Visa Card Payments?
Yes we do. Cash is accepted on Pick up also. If you want to make a payment for an order being shipped just call us with your credit card details.

Can I Pay for my goods on Pick Up?
Yes you certainly can. We accept cash payment on pick up. Visa card or master card & EFTPOS can be used on pick up also.

Will I get an invoice with my goods?
Schmidt tools is a Professional service and an Australian Registered Company just like any other, we are ABN holders and all parcels sent out have an Invoice sent with them.

Returns

Do you Take returns if i`ve purchased the wrong item or i`m not happy with it?
Yes we do accept returns of new unused products, conditions DO apply though and are well detailed at the bottom of every product page. You would be charged a fee to cover our costs of sales and packaging and mailing costs.

What if i have a manufacturing fault with my item?
All our tools have a warranty which is stated on the warranty page.
Accessories and consumables are not covered under warranty.

Picking Up Items

Can i Organise to Pick up my item?
Yes you can. Just call to arrange a pick up and we`ll have your order ready for you. We do need some advanced warning to have things ready. Usually 30 minutes is sufficient but depending how busy we are this may be longer at times.
